Shyanne grew up in Baltimore County and spent a lot of her childhood exploring parks within the Gunpowder watershed. While doing so, she developed a deep passion for protecting our natural resources, which led her to pursue a degree in Environmental Science from the Community College of Baltimore County. After college, Shyanne served as a 2023-2024 Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps member with the Baltimore Tree Trust. It was there she developed a deeper interest in forestry. Shyanne became certified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) in October 2025. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering as a Maryland Master Naturalist, going on hikes, trying new dinner recipes, and hosting game nights with friends
