Fall Color Hike @ Cromwell Valley Park

November 1 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Take a hike with your community this fall and explore the Gunpowder watershed

The leaves will soon be changing, and we’re taking advantage of one of the best times of year to get outside! Join Gunpowder Valley Conservancy for a fall color hike at Cromwell Valley Park on November 1st at 10:00 am. Come spend a beautiful morning making new friends, exploring the trails, enjoying the crisp fall air, and getting to know the watershed we all share. If we’re lucky, we might even spot some wildlife along the way!

The hike will be led by Carl Gold, a member of Cromwell Valley Park & Gunpowder Valley Conservancy Boards of Directors and a Maryland Master Naturalist. Carl will share his knowledge of the native, invasive, and even edible plants you’ll encounter along the trail. He also has a passion for historic storytelling, so questions are encouraged!

Whether you’re a familiar face at our events or joining us for the first time, we’d love to explore the Gunpowder watershed with you. The hike will be at a leisurely pace.

Directions: We plan to meet at the Willow Grove Farm parking lot (2175 Cromwell Bridge Road, Parkville, MD 21234). However, this depends on the progress of the construction work currently underway at the park. When you register for the event, you’ll receive a confirmation email as well as a reminder email the week of the hike that will confirm the meeting location.

Please dress for being active outdoors with closed-toed shoes (sneakers or hiking boots) and protective layers (jacket, hat, gloves as needed). Make sure to bring a personal bottle of water and snacks.
