Behind-the-Scenes Tour: Historical Society of Baltimore County
Time travel as part of the Explore the Gunpowder Watershed Challenge!
Join Gunpowder Valley Conservancy and the Historical Society of Baltimore County for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Historic Almshouse, including the civil defense shelter and radio room, historic elevator, map room, and collections storage spaces! You will have the opportunity to visit current exhibits, library, and research center. Guests are also welcome to explore the grounds as well.

This event is part of Gunpowder Valley Conservancy’s Explore the Gunpowder Watershed Challenge. You will receive a sticker to add to your Gunpowder Passport. Collect 4 stickers to earn a commemorative t-shirt AND a chance to win our grand prize: a full day paddleboarding or kayaking experience for two from Ultimate Watersports! The Challenge is free and self-paced between April 22 – June 3, 2025. Where will the Gunpowder take you?
