There are significant funds available to preserve land in Baltimore County! Stop by one of the three info sessions being offered in early December:
- Tuesday, December 2nd (8:30 – 9:30 am): Baltimore County Ag Center

Here in Maryland, we are fortunate to have a Rural Legacy Program that provides funding to preserve large, contiguous tracts of land, with an emphasis on working farms and ecologically significant landscapes. It is administered by Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Baltimore County has five designated “Rural Legacy Areas” where land preservation efforts are prioritized: Piney Run, Gunpowder River, Manor, Long Green, Coastal.
Baltimore County Land Trust Coalition (BCLTC) is a nonprofit organization that advocates for and works on behalf of the local land trusts in Baltimore County, including Gunpowder Valley Conservancy. They are hosting these information sessions. To find out more about BCLTC, visit their website.
