Non-Native Invasive Plant Management Workshop
June 3 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy is looking for volunteers, age 18+, to join GVC for our Non-native Invasive (NNI) Plant Management workshop, a great part of our NNI Program! It’s easy to participate:
- Attend an in field training and ID session to learn the basics of the NNI problem and plant ID and physical management methods
- Practice what you’ve learned with your classmates in an instructor-led field experience immediately following the training
- Sign up to lead your own volunteer-powered NNI removal events with support from GVC (not mandatory to attend workshop)

What to wear: Think PROTECTION—long pants, long sleeves, close-toed shoes, hat, sunscreen for any uncovered parts, and insect repellant that is effective against ticks. Please note that some of the areas we will be working in may be wet, have tall grass and vines, etc., so wear appropriate shoes.
What to bring: Pen, notepad, filled water bottle. There will be water available to refill bottles and snacks provided along with the gloves and NNI removal tools. If you have some favorites in your own tool collection that you would like to use, please feel free to bring them.
