Fred Whiton is a Chief Engineer at RTX (formerly Raytheon Technologies), where he leads a dynamic team of engineers supporting key aerospace and defense programs. Fred has been in the Aerospace and Defense industry for 3 decades working at executive levels in operations, engineering, and program management. Fred has served on multiple non-profit Boards and currently serves on the Board of the First Maryland Disability Trust with active participation on the finance committee.

Fred holds a B.S, in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland, a M.S in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Masters in Engineering Administration from George Washington University and an MBA from The University of Chicago. A Baltimore County resident, he enjoys the peace and tranquility of the outdoors and enjoys cruising the Caribbean with his wife Mary. He joined the GVC Advisory Board in 2025.
