Explore the Gunpowder through a camera lens with local artist, Michelle Monaghan
Join the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC) for a free Nature Photography hike at Cromwell Valley Park. Michelle Monaghan has captured many beautiful images of the plants, animals, and landscapes within Cromwell Valley Park, Loch Raven Reservoir, and other natural areas along the Gunpowder River.
During this low-intensity hike, Michelle will share her expertise as a trained trail guide, Master Naturalist, AND photographer. She will discuss her creative process and provide basic photography tips on good composition. Advance registration required and limited to 12 people.

Driving Directions: We will meet up for this event at the Cromwell Valley Park – Sherwood House parking lot. The address is 2002 Cromwell Bridge Road, Parkville, MD 21234. From I695W, take exit 29B-A for Loch Raven Blvd/Cromwell Bridge Road. Turn left onto Cromwell Bridge Road. You will pass Loch Raven High School. Continue on Cromwell Bridge Road until you see the first entrance to Cromwell Valley Park (Sherwood House). Turn left into park and continue to the main parking lot. Look for GVC Event signs.
