An Easy Way To Make A Difference
Have you ever come across an area filled with unsightly trash and thought, “Wow, it would be great if there was an easy way to report this site“? Look no further!
Gunpowder Valley Conservancy is excited to announce a new system to report locations in need of a clean-up directly to our staff. All you have to do is fill out our Survey123 form, drop a pin where the litter is located, and hit submit. Our work is focused throughout the Gunpowder watershed (see map below).
Your information will help us:
- Prioritize areas with confirmed trash sightings
- Identify locations suitable for group cleanups
- Increase our reach across the Gunpowder watershed
Most Marylanders live within a half-mile of a body of water, making access to clean water essential to the quality of life. For almost four decades, Gunpowder Valley Conservancy has been working towards a vision of a Gunpowder watershed with healthy lands, healthy waterways, and healthy communities. Sharing your observations is an easy way to support our work and take action for clear water!
Want to do more? Gunpowder Valley Conservancy offers Adopt-a-Stream trainings several times a year where participants learn how to safely remove trash from our waterways, report potential hazards and “adopt” a quarter-mile segment. Contact Sydney West, Programs Assistant, for more information.
