Keep the Earth Month vibe going with Explore the Gunpowder!

Here be adventure! Our annual Explore the Gunpowder Challenge kicks off on Earth Day, April 22, and continues for six weeks. Finish a challenge in a weekend, or break it into smaller adventures that work around your schedule. You’ll earn a t-shirt and a chance to win the grand prize: a full day of paddleboarding or kayaking at Ultimate Watersports in Joppatowne.

There’s two ways to participate!

  • Activity Challenge: Complete 20 miles of outdoor activity on land (or water). No apps required!
  • Navigator Challenge: Collect 4 stickers by visiting local businesses, parks, and historic sites.

Please note that the Explore the Gunpowder guides and stickers will be available at all locations STARTING on April 22nd! We are encouraging our competitive guests to collect our full series of stickers: Explorer, Local Business, Nature, and History.
